Hey everyone!

Was thinking about getting the Fortron 530W PSU to power my rig... but skimming through the forums, I found all sorts of info on the 3.3V and 5V rails being 30+, 40+ amps, etc, etc, etc, and saw on Newegg.com that the specs on the Fortron 530 is:

Output: +3.3V@30/17A,+5V@44/24A,[email protected],+12V@16/28A,[email protected],+5VSB@2A

Is this right for a 530W PSU? Low? High?

(Just curious since I'm running 5hdd, 2dvd, 1gig ram, and soon to have ati 9800 pro... so will need to power this and tons of fans, etc... and was just noticing the specs on all of these psu's)

Any info would help!

that fortron is very reliable. i would say go for it. a lot of people on these forums use those fortron psu's

Was cust curious cuz some people's psus may be high wattage, but 12V may be lacking compared to lower wattage psus. My main concern is getting plenty of power to the hdd/cdroms

The only thing that still confuses me is that my Antec True430 pulls 20Amps from the +12V line, while the Fortron 530 pulls only 18Amps. Even though it's a 100W total-overall upgrade, isn't this an actual downgrade for my HDD's sake if I buy the Fortron? o_O
