K, going to quickly liquidate a bunch of stuff and buy some 4870x2s. Replacement QX9650 is somewhere in the mail. Sometime next week I'll post my stock scores, need to figure out what board I'm going to use first. Does GeekBench benefit from i-rams? Going to fast-track my cascade waterchiller and pray it's finished in time to use for this. Be back in a few days!

I'm having trouble finding the download for PCPIT...

also, we will be using SPI 1.5 mod, right?

OK, so for me...PCPIT is totally new. Is it supposed to be the "Overdrive" online system analyzer? Because I just ran it for the first time:

This does not seem right to me and the weighted score would be way too large...the rules say CPU & MEM score (x12)
That would be (26,137+16,994)x12 = 517,572 points. That would be by far the biggest score of all our tests :-/

Am I missing something here? Or am I on the wrong page entirely:confused:
 
That's the page I was at Miah...I don't know which set of numbers they really want...I scrolled down a little bit further and found the same numbers displayed in a simpler format so I am thinking they must be the right numbers....lol :shrug:

Woohoo, Rampage Extreme is inbound, should yield a few % higher performance in the GPU tests. Listing a few boards for sale today and hoping to order the GPUs in the next week.
 
Dean, Question about the hardware cutoff date. Do you have to have the new hardware in your hands by the 19th or have the hardware ordered by the 19th, with proof of course? Still working on getting a 3870x2 for FW.
 
My main question is...it says unlimited downgrades...would going from 2x 3870X2's to a single 4870 X2 be concidered a downgrade?

Been thinking about doing that on XP runs then using the quad setup for vista runs...just want to make sure on the rules before hand...
 
same question as glock diff hardware.

which CPU of the 2 in my sig is considered better and therefore swapping to the other would be a downgrade?
