When playing games/running benchmarks, my computer freezes within 5 minutes after starting. It used to do this with my voodoo 3, so I bought a Herc 4500 and it still freezes. Is it the MOBO, OS, or what?

Set your memory timing in the bios to the slowest setting (highest numbers) and see if it still locks.

tried that, but nope. I did see 75 fps though before it froze!

ALAS!

I turned off this thing called External Cache, and I just played UT for 50 minutes, unfrozen! BTW, with my Kyro 2, I saw 80 fps at 1024 x 768! I highly reccomend it to any of you seeking a cheap solution.
