When i tried painting the old gateway case, i tried with no sanding, and a little sanding. I brought it in to work today and got mixed opinions on what everyone liked. If you have an old case laying around, do a little bit of testing first. That would be your best bet.

Does the can actually say fusion? Went to walmart and they just had regular krylon, and home depot didn't sell krylon. Need to find some :/

In general, do you want to do any side panel cutting for designs and windows before or after painting.
Normally, you'd want to get all your cutting and/or detail work done before you paint. That way you aren't going to damage your new paint job.

Managed to find the paint. Did a little sanding before hand, but other then that no prepwork. Did two coats, and it looks nice and smooth.

I think im going to have to paint my f-ed up mouse haha , the paint scratches off of it real ez , some reason... so ill just sand the soft paint off and put some new stuff on :p

Im very happy with the way it turned out. I put on 2 coats. I wated about 2 hours or so between. It was so nice not to have to sand and prime... it was just the way I like it... fast and easy!

Its good Stuff

I used some Fusion (red) when I modded my XBOX. It works great and dries quickly. Unless you are going to be handling it alot it will be fine within 15-30 minutes, but since you dont really have to touch an xbox case, I had my reassembled within 30 minutes of the final coat of paint. I painted my controller a week later and tried playing with it within the hour. . needless to say after an hour of gaming the sweat on my hands and the paint kinda mixed and I got red palms. After a day the paint was fine though.

I did a little tribute to Eddie VanHalen when I did this so i'll try to get some pics within the next couple days.
