recently put a build together for my son with the fx-6300 i noticed if i just launch one program, like firefox, i hear the CPU fan ramp up and the temps climb rapidly. even a game like minecraft causes the CPU to go into overdrive. the graphics card doesn't blink an eye. not sure if my cpu cooler isnt good or this is just how the fx6300 behaves.

any advice? 2 images attached one at idle, one after i launch browser.

specs:
case: corsair spec-01. 120mm fan in front intake. 120mm fan in back exhaust
cpu cooler: coolermaster tx3
mobo: GA-78LMT-USB3
gpu: xfx r7 370

Running at stock speeds it should be just fine just keep an eye on the temps when he's gaming. Max recommended is 62c on the package temp and 70c on the socket. It may be that because it's only a 92 mm fan you're hearing it more then if it were a 120mm. A few things you can try to improve temps are getting some more case airflow and you can also mount an 80mm fan on the Vrm section of the motherboard. These Fx processors are pretty demanding on the motherboard power section and actively cooling it is helpful.

thanks for the suggestions. i will look for a better cooler. it's small case and i dont even think a hyper 212 will fit.
