GA7N400 Pro2 - hissing sound

after reaching 166x12.5 at 1.75vcore with my 1800+ Tbred B

i decided to lower multi and higher fsb, i did so by lowering fsb a few notches (not to stock) then started lowering mutlies .5 at a time

got to 10 with the fsb at 170 (aiming for 200) adn vcore at 1.65
the rig just reseted adn then started makin long 1 second beeps at 1 second intervals :S checked temp it was at 38degs

i thought to myself .... now youve done it :S
turned it off for 2 minutes adn turned back on it posted but it read as 1000

the fsb shat itself and went back to 100 so it seems .... went to bios and it was still 170 multis were at 10

Here are some system specs
CPU: AMD XP 1800+ TbredB
Mobo: GA7N400 Pro2 Rev2
Ram: (2x256) PC3200 Kingmax
HSF: Tt Volcano 7+
Gfx: Geforce4 Ti4200 128mb 8x
PSU: Antec Truepower 480w

i got the chip back to stock fsb and multi but its making this hissing sound from the mobo .... talked to a few people they rckon its my capacitators

checked em all no leakage visible ..... could it be nething else ..... is warranty void? had it for 2 and a half months now

located hissing sound to top left corner of the proc area (just below psu)
its is the system in my sig

Can u locate the hissing sound at all is it around the socket area of the board? I have a capacitor on my board and its bent and working perfect at the moment.
 
i have too many fans

4 including the one on the psu and the volcano 7 isnt exactly quite :S

but ill try

well located it to near the top left of the proc ... i might have nudged it when reseating hsf


does this void warranty?
 
it happens when folding@home is runnign

and when im doing the sandra burn-in wizard on the Memory Bandwidth Benchmark
havent figured how to use mbm5 yet
