Gaining on the #5 spot.

This week is slightly different than last in that in a week's time, we picked up almost 3 years on EVGA. I had to look it up. Last week we were 7.7 years from taking the #5 spot and this week we are 4.8 years. Everyone seems to be at full speed again. Further, Taiwan Team is no longer on our threats list. EPFL IC-IT is still chasing us but they are 3 years behind. At the current rate, we could dip down to #7 before regaining the #6 spot. That being said, EPFL has not been a consistent folding team. Perhaps they fold in between work related projects. Any way they can do it, is all appreciated. Folding is not for winning (which we do anyway) but for curing cancer and the like. So win or lose, we all benefit. That being said (redundant), I still want to win.

Top 200: @torin3 , @P4EE, @Farwalker2u , @orion456 , @Macaholic and @don256us . @folding_monkeys are way down at #224. I normally wouldn't highlight this but they will be in the top 200 very soon and will probably break into the top 100 before we know it. Look at those monkeys fly!

The team is down again in total active membership. We currently have 34 active folders with an average ppd (points per day) of 20.7 million. so fewer members with higher totals. That's one way to do it. More active members with lower point averages is another way. Of course, more active members with higher averages is an even better way to go at it. Either way, we are getting it done.

I'm not sure I can keep this formating up in future posts but there is an idea of who you are racing against on the team. If you want to be up there, you gotta earn it. Let me know what you think about the above list for future consideration.

Individual milestones, the meat of the matter, are a bit light this week but we do have someone dangerously close to earning their first billion!
@tom_ozahoski just earned 900 million. Go get 'em!

@freakdiablo just earned 5 million.

So now that the kids are back in school. Now that you have all of the "emergency" trips to the store to buy school supplies. Now that things are hopefully getting into the new norm, don't forget to up your game in folding. Start planning your winter move to keep the house warm and the WU's flowing.

On another note, as of Tuesday at some point I swapped the 4070Ti back into my 5900x system and it has been rock solid ever since. One of @KeeperOfTheButch 's systems had some issues this morning but should be back to full output now. It's awesome to see that Taiwan Team has dropped off our threats list, having @HayesK back at full output has helped a lot, as well as the fact that TT's top producer has dropped down about 130mppd. EPFL will be dropping off our threats list soon as their big cluster went back offline a few days ago, their average just hasn't caught up with it yet.

Great job everyone!! Lets go into the banana harvesting season hard! If we get a big bump as temps drop, we might even be able to start challenging LTT, we're only about 145mppd down from them for last 24hrs!!

Huh, out of curiosity I tried tossing the client on my work laptop, and it isn't blocked. No GPU so any production will just look like noise in the overall daily average, but I figure let it run till IT tells me to knock it off

Sorry. I meant typing each users name in that section. I only get to dedicate so much time to this so I crank them out in a way that I hope to provide some entertainment along with information. I've done better in the past.

Over the years it has changed. Some changes work and others do not. So the question was meant to be specifically about that section. Should I take the time to list all users above the 1 million mark or not? If people like it, then it would be worth while for me to do it. If people really don't have a feeling about it, then the extra effort isn't worth it to me.

Either way, I intent to keep posting these updates. I'm ultimately looking to make these in a way that people enjoy. So I'm just looking for input of any kind.

You could always just do a screenshot of top producers. Only difference would be they wouldn't specifically be tagged. And if their screen names are different for folding

Yeah. That already happens with the tags. You'll notice that some are links and some are just text. Some of the names don't match the folding name exactly as some users have similar yet different names for both. I've tried to link using the forum name when I know better.

I'll take your suggestion into consideration. One "pro" to the tags is that it helps encourage people to engage with other teammates in the update thread. If you get called out you might stop in and make a post.

Ultimately, I'm looking to make this a place for users to chat, ask, smack talk, etc. Just have fun with F@H. That's why I try to do it as much as I can. If the team can come around folding and have a good time, hopefully more folks join in and we help cure things that need curing.

yeah, I like the tags for that reason as well. Maybe you could do a screenshot and then just list all of the tags. Then you can copy and paste every week and only need to update the list whenever someone drops off or needs to be added.
