Here's the problem:
New system, with a video card i had on my old one (Gainward GF2Ti 450). I Boot up and it works. The next day, I boot up and it won't display anything on the screen. Everything else works fine, but the card wont display anything on the screen. My old PCI Video card works however.
The PC boots with the black screen (CPU beeps, LED on the monitor turns green, etc). It was working when i first installed it on my system so i have no idea what could be wrong. Windows and Powerstrip still recognize it on my computer, i can mess with the settings still.
Oh yeah, I put a Crystal Orb and Ramsinks on it too, if that matters.

What might be wrong?

hi mxtt, welcome to the forums!

That's a strange problem you have there, sounds frustrating! Did the card work after you put the crystal orb and stuff on? It's easy to get thermal paste or epoxy on the traces of the card and short it out.

Take a look at your BIOS settings also, could be something simple like the systme being set to boot from PCI first- I do that kind of thing all the time:)

Good luck!

The orb and the sinks were both on while it worked correctly....

I guess I'll just have to RMA it...

Try cleaning the contacts and re-inserting the card a few times... i had a Slot 1 Cpu that i had given up for dead when i tried rubbing a bit of methylated spirits on the contacts and it came back to life... otherwise RMA away!
