ummm i'm not 100% on my recollection, but i've read on some sites that windows 7 home can't take full advantage of the core i7 cpu's... (this was after i bought and installed the same version myself)

Most people don't need anything more than Home edition. That "professional" and "ultimate" title helps inflate the ego enough though, so people will throw down the extra cash.

Good solid build, finally someone who didnt go pick the top prize of each category and say "what do you think" :)

The only thing I would really change is the harddrive. Id suggest a 1tb Western Digital BLACK 64mb cache 7200 RPM over that Samsung, and its cheap right now too (I think its about $80 onsale at Newegg).

Thanks guys :) what do you mean I wont be able to take full advantage of the i7 with windows home? and Ill definitely be getting that other hard drive. anyone have any input on whether this would be an easy system to overclock?

I'm with SteveLord.. I call bs on not being able to fully use an i7 with win7 home.. I mean im using premium because I needed the networking stuff for vpns for work and all that, but i havent ever read anything about windows not utilizing a processor.

Anyone tell me how this rig will overclock when I eventually do it? Like am I going to have to jack the vcore way up? or will it be fairly simple?
