yeah but did you see it all polished and stuff........? He didn't repaint it he stripped it and polished the magnesium, till she was nice and chrome-lookin'.

personally I think that thing looks so awesome. Id kill for a nice lookin case like that for my media server in my living room =(

It looks too big and bulky, also not an appealing shape! Sorry, but I find that nice full towers, or server cases can be suped up to be much better looking than that!

The first page pics made me think "what a hunk of junk", but I really liked the polished up look I just like shiny metal...

Looks like a whole lotta work. He did a pretty good job on it to. The case itself I don't particularly like the design of but it probably would have been appealing 10 years ago.

Next, another Steve Jobs mistake. Note that the Next Cube, just like the Imac, has no floppy. He like to make things look like cubes, and super expensive.

heh i thought this thread was dead lol.......glad i checked back.

My uncle is a computer guru in Silicon valley makin some serious bank. I remember him talking up the NeXT cube at a family reunion many years ago, lol. He worked for Sun, and a bunch of other companies......

Yeah I don't know what to make of that Jobs guy....

OK, I know this thread is older than dirt...

I assume the case in discussion is a NeXT Cube from the last few posts. But apparently that forum is long gone. Is there any chance somebody has saved pix of this thing? (I know, highly unlikely) I've been eyeing the NeXT cases for a project.

Well, off to google.
