I recently acquired a mobo of which I had no idea what it was. I managed to fine out that it uses intel 81020a chipset. but i have no bios information. when i boot up, it just displays the gateway logo and my only options are "press tab to display system messages" i've tried all the function keys and esc to get into the bios but to no avail. when i press tab, i just get an informational screen about the system i built, ram amount, processor speed, etc. it does say AMIBIOS Version 06.32.00 at the top. how do i access the bios!!!!

also you may want to try f2.. that is how I get into my 810, but I remember when I had my gateway you have to be fairly quick with it. gl

I got it. I hit the pause key and then pressed F1 and F2 like it was going out of style and it load the bios configuration utility. thanks for all help

My gateway is only accessable (the bios) through the F1 key. As i understnad that is about the only way they do it...I could be wrong. The best way to find out if F1 doesn't work...process of elimination. It wont be any characters or numbers....try everything else! :)
