Hi'
I've been having problems with the framerates when I run games like UT (or anything for that matter) on my GF2 GTS. It seems that whatever I try, the framerates drop TREMENDOUSLY when more polygons get on screen. Now I know it's normal for them to drop, but these framerate drops are abnormal. In Unreal Tournament, it can go from as high as 160+ FPS to below 28. Its really odd, here are my system specs:
-TBird 1.1ghz
-128mb Ram
-GeForce 2 GTS 32mb DDR
-DX8
-Win 98
I have tried all the following to attempt to fix this problem:
-I started w/ Windows ME, then went back to 98 and the problem persisted
-Reformatting my drive
-Using DX7 instead of 8
-Installing the VIA 4 in 1 drivers
-Installing almost ALL detonator drivers
-Checked to make sure my GF2 isn't conflicting w/ any other devices of sharing IRQs
-Turning off individual GF features (like FSAA, etc)
So, as you can tell, I've tried mostly everything. If anyone can help at all, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
