I'd like to get one of these, since the prices and performance look good. I can't justify the expense for a Ge4 Ti... Any suggestions from vid card experts?

Thanks,

Ok, I'm reading that the Geforce MX440 doesn't have directx 8.0 support. How can this be? Can that be fixed with a drive update?

What do you have now?

The GF4 MX series is a hopped up GF2... yes 2. The GF3 TI200 will outperform it. I'd spend that money and get either a radeon 7500 or a GF3 ti200.

video cards

If you can handle $150 for a video card, get the Ati Radeon 8500, very good performance, lots of great features, excellent image quality. Best bang for your bucks. Retail version is $155 at newegg.com A Geforce 3 Ti 200 is comparable but in some ways not quite as good. A 7500 has great features, but only performs on par with the best of the Geforce 2's.

from the oc on that Geforce1 i think ytou should be fine for a while and you should wait till that 80$ gets you a better deal but for right now a radeon 7500 is the best deal for 80 bucks....
