Does anyone have a program that works for overclocking the G4. I have tried Rivatuner, Powersrtip and Geforce Tweak. All of these use the coolbits registry edit for overlcocking, and they dont seem to work with the 27.42 drivers that came with my card. When I use any of these programs I get and error on reboot or restart that it cant laod NvXTInit in NVQTWK. I have the NVQTWK key in the registry but when I try to add the other key it still doesnt find it. I think the reason it doesnt work is due to the fact the new drivers arent up to date with coolbits for overclocking. The site to get the Rivatuner says that the new version has the patch for this problem but it still wont work right when I install it. Any suggestions on getting a program or way to set the key in the registry to make coolbits work right would be very helpfull.

Try reinstalling your drivers or try different ones.
Have you tried swapping the NvCPL.dll file with a version from a driver set that can be oc'd??

I did reinstall my drivers and I have tried to use the 23.11 and it wouldnt take those for some reason. As for the NvcCPL.dll no I havent tried that.

Give the 27.70's a try. Also, are you using Detonator Destroyer to rid your system of residual files when trying new drivers?

Yes I love that program.

I just use coolbits, works fine.
Only drivers version 27.xx and up have support for the GF4 cards.

Did you just go into the registry and install it maually?

IT could be used as a regfile, or an adjustment of a value (Think it was the value 3 in a DWORD) and it allowed Coolbits.

No I just used the coolbits reg file.

I had a gf3 installed before the gf4 and didn't have to re-enter anything to get the overclocking tab.

Yes it is a DWORD value of 3.

Ran into the same thing. The only way I could get the older drivers to work was to re-install windows and not install any drivers. Then update to the 23.11 or22.8. Once you go to the 27.x drivers it seems to loose the nvqtwk. There is a new nvmax out that I would think would resolve this. I found that the newest version of riva works find and I did not have this problem over the course of several re-installs. This is what i am presently using to hit 9197.

I guess the BGA ram is really helping..... yet not enough to get it up to 4600 speeds. To bad none of the manufactuers put 3.3 ns instead of 3.6 ram on the cards like on some radeon 8500 cards.

I did try NvMax also but the settings in that only go to 300 600, the memory alone on the 4600 is at 650. But I am not sure which version I tried.

The thing is with this is I have the NVQTWK key in the registry, it just cant find the NvXTInit. Thats what gives me the errors.

Ok update here I think I got it to work now. I was able to just find the coolbits reg patch only. I put it in rebooted and didnt receive any errors. I will try the o/c later and report back with some info and benchmark scores.
