i have recently purchased a geforce 2 mx, and have been trying to tweak it ever since. Now, my first problem, is that when i turn of vSync, the screen becomes completely disorientated amoung the vertical display, Hence Vsync, that all makes sense, but, i was able to turn of Vsync with my voodoo 2, and i dont remember ever seeing all this desynchronisation with the vertical and horizontal image.... if there are any thoughts on the subject, please reply, because Vsync REALLY CAPS THE FRAMES!!!

your voodoo2 probably wasnt puting out at the same refresh rate as the geforce with vsync off. Its more likely your monitors fault. I have a GeForce 256 DDR and I never have vsync on but I also have a ViewSonic Graphics Series. It will do somewhere in the neighborhood of 180Hz.

I have G2 Ultra, and when I play in Direct 3D even witht he Vsync turned ON, I get the image tearing..... I don't know why... I have 19" IBM p92 monitor.. When I play in Open GL I don't have those problems, Only in Direct 3D...
