Getting an Os/2 warp startup screen?

I am currently running windows xp and for some reason last time i restarted i got an Os/2 warp startup screen. I did do a scan with adaware and had about 250 objects before this. could it be some type of spyware/adware? this computer is brand new and has never had os/2 on it

what exactly do you mean by startup screen? The load screen(little scrolling boxes screen)? welcome screen?

I ask, because these can be changed, if its one of these, its possible something got in there and changed it.

Have you tried a virus scan?

i mean the screen that usually has the scrolling boxes. and no i havent done a virus scan which one do you recommend

Norton corporate is my favorite- then again I get it for free from my school

i got the problem fixed my brother was messing around with a program called bootskin and he changed it on accident thanks for your help though

bootskin is a cool little program, it does make the boot time longer though.
