I know theres a bunch of posts about certain motherboards but i'm still not getting a clear definition of what's teh best one out there. I'm willing to spend like 150 for it, but i want something that has ddr and will last for at least 2 years. I know this sounds a little optimistic, but i don't exactly have the money to spend on it right now. What's the highest amd clock speed most mobos can support? i've been reading 1.4 ghz or so, but i doubt we'll still have that in a few years seeing as how processors are exploding past 1.5 ghz already...

in short, i need something that'll be cheap, overclockable (or not), and be decent for 2 years. any suggestions?

I just got an epox 8k7a+. It has raid and two ddr slots. 6 pci and i'm sure you will be able to use it for a long time. with shipping which was two day it was $165.98 directly from epox. there is a non raid version for around $120 if you can find one.
