I just got a vtek gf4 4600.My 3d mark 2001 scores only went up about1900 to 8750.I'm not complaining but I wonder if they shouldn't be higher.Drivers are 27.42.
I'm using dx8.0a. I wonder if these drivers are optimized for dx8.1
and that's why my score isn't higher.
Am i on the right track or doesn't the dx version matter?

By the way the card visuals are great and all games work
fine with speed improvement.

Benchmarks aren't always accurate - if it does what you want it to do then you are laughing :D.

I still have a GeForce 2 MX 32MB - and it does fine for a little light gaming :).

You could try directX 8.1, I think the GF4s are designed to use DX 8.1

That depends, are you using the new 3dmark2001se? 2001se is set up to use directx8.1, the original 2001 version is for directx8.0. So your scores are probably accurate. Is your card OC'ed? If it isnt, then you could probably boost your scores quite a bit with a good OC.
