Very nice sir! Got to decide what board to put my x3460 on. Im thinking the asus ws supercomputer, to see how it handles this chip (board supports chip vs. board not supporting chip).

Good job! I got the same mobo but only have air cooler, currently running 920 @4.2 24/7.
Where did you get that BIOS F3j? Mine is F3k, have some issue with Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600. Seems you don't have any problems with ram at all

March 18TH???? whats that a grand opening last I heard maybe the Xeons will come first and thats a iffy where did you get the release date info Hey Zeus?

Anyway the F3j bios are ok and the K as well but on my 920 chip I did great with the F3c hitting a 233 BLCK!! try them out axerlzx.

I'm PRAYING the X5650 is around 300-400 dollars

Think more $700-800. X5680 will be a $1600 CPU, then each model will be $200 apart.

Sounds like a good price range as Intel wont risk loosing sales on there Quads!!!

Should get a final call on the release within 2 weeks I would guess if there looking at Mid March.

Xeon W3680 on HPZ400

I have an HP Z400 desktop running Xeon W3520 (Nehalem).

Can I upgrade to Xeon W3680 (Westmere) without changing the processor?
