Hello,

I don't know if this is the correct forum but I can't find anyone who can help.

I need advice for my Aorus 2080Ti Extreme Waterforce WB 12Gb.
A couple of months ago I noticed artefacts, and I discovered that the stock waterblock was leaking when under pressure (between the plastic and the metal shields).
Since I couldn't find a direct replacement for the waterblock, I opted for buying an heatsink for the Aorus 2080Ti Extreme, which is the air-cooled counterpart, assuming they had the same PCB.

Well, the PCB is ALMOST the same, meaning that the heatsink fits correctly, but the WB pcb has one 12pin header and two separate 4-pin headers (all three of them unused).
The heatsink comes with TWO 12pin plugs:

I noticed the "non WB" version has another 12pin header instead of the top 4-pin one.

Things I Tried:
- I tried plugging either one, however the fans don't spin at all, and the "Stop Fan" led lights up (although it goes black when the PC changes RGB lighting profile at startup, since I also have a z390 Aorus Master Motherboard).

- In GPU-Z, Aorus Engine and Fan Control the "fan" channels have always been two and set to 35% (albeit with nothing connected to them) with 0 RPM detected even prior to heatsink installation. I tried forcing them to other values using Fan Control. The change is reflected to GPU-Z, but the fans are not spinning.

- I also tried flashing the BIOS for the Aorus 2080Ti Extreme using the tool in the GPU support page, however it kept saying "BIOS version Mismatch" (I tried also with the WB version, with no success).
On the support page of both video cards a BIOS is available, but it's just one version and there's a "guide" regarding some version restricions for the upgrade. I couldn't understand what they mean by that, they have just one bios version (F2) and they talk about F10 (which, coincidentally, is the version of my Aorus Master BIOS).
However, I've been able to circumvent this limitation by unpacking the .exe file in the provided archive and run the updater within. It seems that it installed the new BIOS, however when I open Aorus Engine or similar, the GPU code is still "Aorus Waterforce WB" instead of the air-cooled version. Fans still not working.

Do you have any advice?
