Someone is selling a Gigabyte GA-7VRX Rev 2.0 quite cheeply, but he says it has a corrupt BIOS but would be an "Easy fix for tech". Is it possible to get it fixed as the mobo has dual bios. Is there any way to tell if it is just the BIOS that is stuffed, or does it sound a bit dodgey?

Without knowing how long he's had it or what he did to it, or even what it's doing that makes him think it is corrupt- it is hard to say. I had problems with Bios F17 at one time, it was very easy to boot from the back up (F16). If he flashed the bios and updated the backup, he should still be able to take the CMOS battery out to reset it, or try flashing again- it's that easy. I'd need to know more I think.
