Hey guys, I just got my glaciator and attempted to install it on my Asus A7A266 mobo. The problem was that right above the socket, there was some type of large thing that blocked the heatsink. After some effort I was able to bend it a little and put the heatsink on a little cockeyed. I just wanted to share this with all of you who have my board and are thinking about a glaciator. My temps right now are at 49 degrees, but I would say that is pretty good because it is 90 or so in the room. Phew...

yikes. Capicitor in the board. Does this hsf clear the abit board?

Since its bent a little and you do not plan on returning it you may consider getting a dremel tool or some other tool with a grinding stone and grinding out the area where the doo hickie is blocking it so that you can get it mounted properly. only grind out what is needed and you should not effect the cooling efficiency.

goodluck

thanks for the advice, i think i will attempt to grind off the corner a bit. Thanks :)
