i got my 120mm working great by ripping the berings out the fan of my Volcano7 and replacing them in the 120.. i have had two 80's on my HC with a foil shroud i made and was working okay i thought.. but didnt seam to be moving much air.. well i slaped on that 120(x38 btw) with a rubbermaid conainer shroud and siliconed it and everything and MAN!.. could i feel the differnce in air moving.. but for some reason i went from 35C idle 38-39load to 38c-39C idle 42Load  what's up with that :-/ any ideahs as everything is EXACTLY the same otherwise..

That's pretty weird. Did you say the flow you felt coming out of the radiator was a pretty big improvement?

The only thing I can think of is that the 80mm fans were able to generate a little more pressure, and therefore were able to pull a little more air through the rad.

something like that happened to me, turned out that one of my tubings had kinked after some adjustments on my rig, you should check for that.
also u sure ur room temp just didn't rise 3c? my room goes from 15c-30c thoughout the day because my damn house has no insulation

I dont have any kinks, and yeh the airflow i could feel was like the difference between night and day! :-/

it's possible the room temp had went up. but i was getn the same readouts at FULL speed, when i had the 80's at 7V with my Volcano7 switch.. if i put it on the same setting i had those on it goes up a little.

update:

turns out i was laser scanning for hot spots with my gun and around my mosfets it was bringing up 55C.. so i getto hung a fan off the side of my case to blow on the back of the mobo and riged one up inside my case to blow directly over them and ALL my temps droped DRASTICLY.. now showing 36C for full prime load with a tbred A 1800 @ 1901 with 1.86Vcore 10.5 x 181 with a kt400 chipset.. hmmm.. not bad not bad :)

cant wait till i get my nf7.. im wondering just how far this little tbred A will go.. suprised me so far (after water cooling that is) with air i could only hit 1800 with a volcano7+ but i only have 2700 ram too..

so that with the crappy chipset i think holding this chip back. we'll se in about a month.. for building a friends comp for him my payment instead of money will be :

Antec true 430 PSU
Abit nf7-s 2.0
and a Nexus 4 channel Reobus :D
