I just have a quick question, does the Blue orb work well for GeForce2 MX cards? AND does the Golden orb work well for Piii's? I curently have stock HSF's on both, my Piii 550e and My GeForce2 MX and I am thinking of trying to get better cooling but different people say diff things about the ORB's. Anyone?

The fact that different people say different things about the Orbs should be enough to steer you away from them. Some people have had good success, some have had very poor success. I think that if a product isn't overly overwhelming than you should just not use it. I recomend that you use a plan ole Socket7 cooler on the Video Card. And use an Alpha cooler on the CPU. Good luck friend . . . . .

I am currently using a GORB on my PIII600EB and despite not having used anyother HSF other than OEM I would look elsewhere. They look trick in you're box n' all however, the fact that I had to lap it as well as remove the stock fan and use a 60mm box fan afixed atop of it just to get my temps to stay below 40C` while under load, makes them not worth the hassels in my opinion. And for your vid card, I recently mounted my PIII's OEM flip chip HSF on my Asus v6600 and it brought the idle temp down almost 15 degrees F. and under load it has yet to go over 102 degrees F. ambient @78 degrees F.

I have a Golden orb it looks real cool sitting on my shelf. My Global Win VOS-32 isn't too pretty but it works a lot better. As for the MX card I got a kit from www.2cooltek.com that has a bigger heat sink and fan plus alpha heat sinks for the memory chips They also have the orbs but I wanted performance not looks.

Yeah . . . http://www.2cooltek.com has an awsome 55mm solid copper vidsink . . . . . .

glue the orbs to a picture frame, and hang them on the wall, this were they will be of the most use . had a large blue orb on my 900 tbird 49 to 51C tried a chrome orb on my brothers 900 tbird same results. upgraded to a 1 gig tbird ,added a hedgehog, OCed to 1206, 41C full load and the noise from the delta fan wont be a problem anymore, just ordered a in line fan speed control from swiftech
