I am looking for a good/cheap place to register a domain name. I havent dont it in awhile and now I want to register a second domain name but this domain is for personal use and I want to save money. Whats a good place to go to register a domain name cheaply? Thanks.

I'd have to concur. GoDaddy is highly recommended by most of my friends, and they have close to the cheapest prices available.

do you mean masking??? its when you have your web domain name point to a certain site but you want only your domain name to show up in the address bar.

example...I host my own site on my server but I have a dynamic IP address so I use one of the free web redirecters like no-ip.com.

lets say I have xxx.no-ip.com pointing to my server. I have purchased www.aaa.com from godaddy. I need for www.aaa.com to get to my server so I point it at
xxx.no-ip.com. What the masking does is show only www.aaa.com in the address bar when it is redirected to my server at xxx.no-ip.com. Its Also used if you have a bunch of domains pointing to the same page but you want people to only see the your domain name in the addy bar.

If its just for personal use, set up a dynamic dns service, like www.dyndns.org Its what I use to run things from home, if my IP changes the client updates the servers so I can always access my system thru xxxxxx.dyndns.org Its free, so cant beat the price.
