I'm looking for a good computer chair, the one I currently have was purchased from office max for around $100 about 2 years ago. Since then it has broke (underwarrenty) 3 times, same part, every time. It is also quite uncomfortable. (I was not the one who selected the chair).

Does anyone have any suguestions of really good computer/desk chairs that they have had good experiances with. (Doesn't break every 8 months and squeak non-stop)

As always, with price, the lower the better, but I'd be willing to pay for real quality.

I'd always prefer for the chair to be one sold in a store and not online so I can try it out.

So please post any info you have, and thanks :)

I'm currently sitting in the ALLAK Leather Executive High-Back Chair from IKEA. The sitting surface is leather, and the rest is imitation leather. It was $69 when I bought it.

It's pretty comfortable, but the armrests restrict the amount I can slide up to the desk (oh well, keeps me at proper typing distance at least ;) ). The armrests aren't removable because they hold the chair together. I suppose someone good with materials could build new brackets that will hold the chair together without getting in the way. Or you could just get a hacksaw and off the 'rests. :D

its a big highback low sitting one
realy nice and comfortable one, i have fell asleep plenty of times in it! lol
go find a nice older chair, and use it! you would like it much better!
