First off this post is in no way saying a Gorb is a worthy cooler.

I finaly decided to do my own little test with a gorb vs intel retail on a 566 cely at 850 at 1.85 volts on a be6 2 v2 mobo using an msi slocket also the reason i did this is because i've read some posts that berate the gorb, and say it's no better than a retail intel hs.
the readings are from the bois only. and after an hour the gorb maxed out at 42 c and the intel maxed out at 47 c. now to me that's a fair amount of differance. also the intel hsf jumped up to the max temp much quicker which makes me think it will have a harder time disipating the heat of the cpu under a "real" load.

And before you go bashing me for using a gorb. On my main system I use a pep66t on a p3 700 @ 933, which is the chip the hsf came from.

Also both hsf's were lapped down to 600 grit paper and I used genuine radio shack paste, you know the good stuff..............lol.................
