Well just threw it in and I love it. I can raise the res in games to 1280 x 1024 and the image is better and gameplay is noticibly faster then my V5 was with 1024 x 768 w\ 2x FSAA. And this is with no tweaking so far and no overclocking. Now I just have to get familiar with all the settings and tweaks then I'll see what this baby can really do!

The FSAA seems slow and buggy so I'm not using it. But colors are SOOOO Vibrant and the images are SOOOO much more crisp!

All in all I think I made the right decision getting rid of my V5 and going with a Radeon! :)

If anyone has any tips or things for me to try I'd be more then happy to listen.

hey what was your radeon clocked at default? the OEM is 163/163 and the retail should be either 183/183 or 198/198. Just curious

If your monitor can support it, it makes more sense to run at 1600*1200 w/Rad than running with FSAA. I honestly haven't given FSAA much of a shot (mostly because it runs very slowly), but I personally feel high res is better anyway because it is not so blurry.

voodoo 5 looks brown and draby compared to the radeon 64 vivo enjoy!

OH MY GOD!
Your right, I'll tell you that much! The V5 SUCKS compared to this card! I can't believe the colors and clarity. I've been playing around with some of the settings. I downloaded an overclocking program. Turns out my cards an OEM and clocked to 164mhz. Well I'm running it now at 198mhz core and memory. Also have memery speed and latency set to fast. Runs great and fast too! 200mhz locks up on me though.

I've been playing Quake 3 & Motocross madness 2. Two games which could be hell with my V5. Motocross madness 2 more then anything. Man what a difference! I always ran my V5 at 1024 x 768 w\ 2x FSAA. Well the Radeon I'm running at 1280 x 1024 no fsaa 32bit color and the image quality is far better then I had with my V5. And it runs so much smoother and faster. And Quake gives me the same results. Very smooth and very fast! Hell with my V5 and my pc running at 1 gig. It did'nt compare to this card. And I'm only running at 900mhz right now.

I can't wait till my Asus A7A 266 & T-Bird 1.2 gig come on monday. Then I should get even better results. Then I'll have 4x AGP as well.

I'm like a kid in a cany store!

I can't tell you how vindicated I feel on my posistion in the other V5 vs. MX debate thread. :)

get the newest drivers, those help out a lot. I will say this is a nice card, although the Geforce2 Ultra has it beet in detail in DOD, but that was also on a 1.4Ghz athlon, so I can't trully compare it to my paltry 832 celey.
