I have 2 systems where the GPU load is not going to 100%, both windows 8.1 64bit

The first system is an E2180 2ghz c2d, cpu folding is not enabled, the gpu load is around 90-93% on a 7970. Is this CPU possibly not fast enough to feed the 7970?

The 2nd system is my sig rig, cpu folding is not enabled, the 290 is pegged at 100%, but I added a 270X and it's only running at 64%, On another unit it reached 97% but never 100%.

Power options on both systems are set to high performance... Any ideas on this?

I can tell you without doubt that your main system has more than enough CPU to feed two cards. I would also think that a C2D is enough to feed one card. Has this been happening all along or did it just start happening? It could be the WU's that you are picking up.

i just started folding again, 7970 + e2180 is always 90-93, 270X + 2600k has gone as high as 97%. I'm just annoyed that it isn't @ 100% and I feel like I'm doing something wrong

edit: i just noticed the ppd looks good on the 270X, roughly 100k though the usage only says 64%

I have not seen one GPU that hits 100% even for a few minutes.
its all fine tho PPD(science) seems all good, it usually fluxes between 93% - 97%.

Happy Folding...
