I have yet to get windows filly updated... But I think i was able to get DX9.0c on as well as the cat 6.11 drivers loaded. I am un-sure if it is working propperly. It seems to be hanging at the last point in the log file.

Its on an X1950XT from Saphire. And no, I have not figured out what is going on with my 3D clocks.

Here is the log:

HU ZAH!!!!!!!!

It seems my single core client was getting in the way. Just told me "completed 1" in the console. Weeeee!!!!

But this leads me to a second question... If installed in different folders... How come there seems to be conflicts??

Code:
File Tree 1
C:\folding\cpu\FAH504-Console

File Tree 2
C:\folding\gpu\FAH5.91beta2-console

If you are folding on a single core computer (that includes HT) then you should only run the gpu client.

have you tried to install it as a service?, that what i did first time and got all sorts of probs

swapped to the GUI client, easier to manage

Its running on an E6600. So i should run at least a single core instance in addition to the GPU i think.
Both were installed as a service... I'll look into that as an issue. Thanks!

Although... I have been putting some serious thought into trying the VM ware torrent i pulled the other day and doing GPU and SMP at the same time. I think the GPU might take a hit in frame times... But i have the feeling SMP points would make up for that.

the gpu client does not work properly as a service (thank you chasR for sorting me out with that) you either run it as a console or use the graphical version

if i was you i would run SMP in VMware and GPU graphical.....points would be sweet

THe GPU client defaults to machine ID 1. Undoubtedly you already have a cpu client with that machine ID. Try changing the GPU machine ID to 3 and disable the service for one CPU instance.

Alright, it sounds like a plan!
What machine ID does the SMP client default to??

But first to see how high this E6600 can clock with the stock air cooler lol.

all the clients default to machineid 1.

There have been some suggestions made to have the gpu to default to something higher ... like 5 or 9 now that the client supports the 1-16 range.... but for now you need to change the cpu to something else.

I got in the habit of numbering mine starting at 3 but with quads on the horizon i should have started at 5

umm...with the SMP/VMware...its technically a different 'machine'...really doesnt see that you got winders running in the 'background.
I ran it for a little while...takes a lot more resources...but GPU and SMP gets about 300 PPD more with my 3800 X2 (stock) and with my x1900xt running at 695/720 (about...I forget the PPD :p) but it was about 900 PPD total, between the two (SMP and GPU), I think...
