I have had a copy of vice city reserved since my birthday in July and finally got it today. Let me tell ya...This game is amazing. I've only done the first couple missions but so far its turning out to be way better than GTA3. All the missions have multiple parts and the amount of different cars and weapons is just mind blowing. Those who just got it feel lucky...my contact at Electronics Boutique told me the wait list is clear to January of NEXT YEAR...

I just walked into the store and bought it w/o reserving it or anything.

i believe its only for PS2 right? so how is the gameplay??? would be anxious to see some user reviews (which i believe are 200% better than any reviews on any gaming sites)

Its not only for PS2 ... the PC version will be out soon enough too.

from what i have heard it won't be ported to PC :( but PC is also a big potential market so we may as well see a PC version, PC version will be awesome provided you have a good gamepad to play.. PC graphics at those higher resolutions .. ohhh mama !!! :D

Well the game play is great. Same controls as GTA3 so that cuts down on the learning curve.

1) Motorcycles: You can pop wheelies, shoot your uzi forward or sideways on the motorcycle...But if you crash you get injured badely.

2) Helicoptors: You can fly the helicoptor and shoot and its very easy to fly unlike the Dodo of GTA3

3) All the missions are multi-part missions. No more run a guy over and your done. They take a while and some are really really hard.

4) Being able to walk into a building and see people and elevations is sweet. Ex: I walked into a nightclub full of people and tossed a grenade...BOOM...Lots of money there.

5) You can buy different buildings...Therefore you can buy whatever hideout you want...Given that you have the money for it.

Thats it as of current...But I promise you...the missions are a lot harder and the graphics rock.

woah bikes, choppers, buildings .. i guess i will be spending some time at my friend's place playing PS2 :D .. i.e. till the game comes on PC :)

GTA 3 for PS2 and for PC were identical ... they both were ok, just the PC version had much better graphics.

I'm guessing you never played the PC version much or something, or simply forgot to mention this -- the PC version was notorious for the amount of bugs is had which were never resolved by Rockstar. They drew some serious ire for that.

yes...................... gta3 running on my pc correctly..............riiiiiiiiiiiiighhhtt..............

I finished GTA 3 on my PC after 1 week.
The game ran perfect ... I used to get around 75FPS all settings to max ... it never crashed, never lagged ... nothing.

actually they added a lot of little things, like boxes in allies and little things like that.
