Graphics corruption in BF1942...but nothing else?

I have a Radeon 9500 np softmodded to a 9700...and I have yet to see graphics corruption in any application or game, other than Battlefield 1942. Thus, you would think that it was a software issue...but the graphics corruption looks just like something that would happen with a bad pipe. Colors on textures are messed up, fire looks like morphing blocks shooting into the sky, characters bleed multicolored pixels...it looks like some screwed up person's nightmare.

Is it possible that my card is defective? Or is this most likely a compatibility problem / driver issue? Thanks.

same probs in bf,if i hit escape...dont think its a failure in my graka,but who really knows?

Bump
