Hi, I have been researching but im getting fed up of all the options, I have come to a hastly conclusion of these two

MSI Twin Frozr

Asus GTX 560Ti Direct CU II Its almost the same as far as quality and design ideas are concerned.

What do you guys think, its a lot over my budget but I dont want to be skimping on things like these.

I am choosing these 2 because of there quiet operation and cool running, any opinions?

This Asus DCUII isn't the 3 slot version, its the same size as the Twin Frozr.

Only DCUII card I've had was a Matrix 580 (which was the huge 3 slot version) for a while and it was a great cooler. I currently have three MSI Hawks with Twin Frozr IIIs and they're also very nice.

Best two stock coolers on the market IMO. FWIW I think the Twin Frozer looks nicer

OK so it looks like its the MSI, 880mhz Twin Frozr,

I hate to ask but is there anything else out there I have missed that I should really consider

Not really. Feels unhelpful constantly telling people "you'll be fine", but these days feel like GPU utopia. Whether you go red or green, the amount of performance you get for what you pay is amazing.

You'll love the 560ti, but if you're not set on one and want to save some coin consider an HD6870. 60% the price and 80% of the performance of a 560ti.

OK, thanks for so helpful, It is a minefield out there for the prospective GPU buyer.

I did have a look at the 6850/70 range, but somethings telling me to stick with Nvidia, maybe its becasue I have an Intel based CPU and AMD is their enemy or something lol.

Another reason is because I was going to keep my 9800GT to run Phsyx, do you think this will increase the performance noticably, over a 6870, maybe 2 later down the line??

In most games you wont see any difference with a dedicated phys card, and even in supported games the FPS difference is minor vice just running physx on your GPU. You might as well use it for one rather than just having it laying around though, especially if you don't have to pay the electric bill :).

Now two 6870s is a completely different ballgame. That's 580 level performance. Noticeable difference from one card, but then again you're spending more money than the 560ti.

You sound like me. You'll never stop agonizing over this, so what you need to do is figure out exactly how much you really want to spend, then get the best you can for that price

Oh damn I just saw an unboxing video on ebay of the Asus, it looks way cool, metal shroud, matt black PCB, it would even match my Mobo with the red and black colour scheme.

I think I will look up some comparison reviews...:bang head

OK guys, I have gone and bought one of the 2 mentioned above.

I have decided against all your opinions to go with the Asus 560Ti, I found a great deal and saved myself £40 going with this one, I know its not as fast or as quiet and not as cool running as the MSI but I much preferred the look of the Asus over the MSI, dont really like the silver blue colour scheme, my case is black with red lighting and accenting, I also have an Asus mobo with red and black details so this will look awesome. Plus I like the fact that its Asus' own PCB (again its black not brown like the MSI) than the generic Nvidia PCB with some MSI components.

Ill update when I get it, might even take some pics of it installed...

Thanks guys, you were all very friendly and helpful

If by reference your talking about there own custom PCB not Nvidias own, apparently it's got some special alloy in the mix that makes up the PCB, they say it helps cool the card
