a friend of mine got his xbox 360 yesterday morning(release day over here) with 4 games(PGR, COD2, condemend, perfect dark) and i must say that, overall, its not as good as i was expecting. graphics are about same as my PC(i was expecting alot more). perfect dark isnt that good. PGR rocks, but ive always loved that game, cod2 is same as PC version and id rather play fps with keyboard and mouse anyday, condemend looked good(based on same engine as fear) but a little slow for my liking. over all. 7.5/10. i wont be buying one until they come down in price(like, alot). bring on the ps3.

you really need an HDTV to see the xbox360.

My stepdad and I flicked the hdtv switch and our jaws dropped. Its really that big of a difference. I dont recommend getting a xbox 360 unless you have hdtv.

makes sense, but then you might as well just get a good computer and a nice widescreen monitor for the same price.

But a huge HDtv is a wonderful thing...

Only if you watch TV regularly, I almost never watch TV and hence didnt get very excited when My parents bought a big widescreen HDTV because I never use it ( that was 2 years ago, and I still almost never watch the thing)

COD2 looks better on my computer imo than my fried who runs it off his 360 w/ vga cable on his monitor

QFT, anyone who says different has to be blind. Only difference is the 360 has a constant fixed in Frame Rate of 60 I believe, which is very nice but I still get a kick out of people still claim it.

You can get HDTV and use it as your computer monitor like I do and the difference is huge from my previous CRT.

Well, after I had seen PGR3 presentation, I had problems finding my jaw. Very impresive. Whole Xbox full circle online stuff looks amazing. And price... I doubt that you can get PC for something comparable that will have such possibilities and will last as long as Xbox360.

LOL, no man... Xbox 360 is $400 for the premium package. A good PC is around $1500+. If you spent the same amount of money total, you'd have a MUCH bigger TV than computer monitor, which is awesome.

Prolly because you can go upto a higher resolution with your PC. Try playing your PC off a regular TV and it'll be the same thing.

Yeah, the PC does still rule, butthat's because they have MMO's and such. WHile I do prefer FPS's played with a keyboard and mouse, it's still really fun playing on XBox 360.

I don't know. I like them both. I've never been this impressed with a console before, and it's not the novelty that's doing it.

I know this is for the Xbox 360 But they're right about the hdtv. I had my ps2 hooked up to our hdtv and it was as if rachit and clank was popping out of the screen, Now I tried it on our normal tv and it totaully blew chunks :(
