Hard Drive Blocks

I'm going to make my own. Or several.. Got a server that will be watercooled, 5 HD's, going to make it quiet and nice.

A piece of copper with a 22mm copper pipe soldered to it should sort it out. My setup will be something like tube->copper "L"->HD->copper "L"->tube Seen from head on.. So cooling plates one each side.

Gotta figure out how to attache the HD as well..

Hard drive blocks they any good?
and what ones are good?
am dreaming again of the fantasy setup so just wondering

If your goal is to bleed as much heat out of your case as possible and in the process loose a fan or two, sure, they're good.

2 X WD160 + 2 X WD250 In RAID-0
(from the rig specs in his sig.)

i don't think thoes put out enough heat to WC them... and a couple 80mm case fans blowing on the drives aren't gonna kill ya :)

though, if you watercool them you can bury them nice and deep into some soft material to damp the noise.

(and yes, even seagate 'cudas make enough noise for you to hear in a quiet enough room)

ya those are the hard drives in my rig right now and i now i dont really need to water cool them but this is just dreaming for a fantasy system
am just wondering if any of the hard drive blocks are any good and if any one had any experiance with em
i cant stop upgradeing and wanting new **** for this puter
**** am now looking at a custom modified lan li 75b case and other crap that i dont need lol
