I remember I read it somewhere, actually 1st thing that get affected is the "grease" in those bearing in the motors and will affects the motor's life time.

If I'm not mistaken, it sorta melted away "faster" from those balls in the motor bearing, that when the SMART number for "failed" motor start counts in. Again, I could be wrong but this makes sense.
