Hard Drive Overheating?!

Hello there.
I have Western Digital JB800 (8mb) .
I'm using SpeedFan utility and I get those readings:

Temp3: -48C ( :eh?: )
Temp2: 47C (it's CPU)
HD0: 36-37C (constant)
Temp: 33-51C (up when there's disk activity , like defrag)
Temp1: 31-33C ( ambient or NB)

When touching the hard drive bottom- it's indeed very-very hot.
I put a fan on it - which cooled it a little, but the sensor behavior didn't change.

I also have a very hot SB, but it's constantly hot, nd I don't think there's a sensor on it.

Is it really my hard drive?
Is it dangerous when the hard drive overheats?

Thanks.
