I am planning to build a new machine in the next month or so and so far I am planning on going with an e6600 on a P5B-Deluxe motherboard. One of the parts I am having trouble with is what hard drive setup to go with. So far I am tossing around the idea of:

74 gig raptor for system and games, 80 gig (I already own) for backup
2 250 perps in MATRIX raid (100 in raid 0, 150 in raid 1)
2 74 gig raptors in Raid 0, 80 gig (I already own) for backup

Right now my rig has 2 80’s with one being for system and apps and the other just backup and I have plenty of space. This machine is going to be mostly a gaming machine so I want something that will be able to handle the loading and activity associated with gaming. I am willing to spend some cash for the setup but 2 raptors is pushing what I have to spend in this area.

I would love some opinions on the options listed or other options I have not thought of.

Thanks in advance gang
