Motherboard Monitor is great. If you want one with a very small footprint go with MB Probe.

I run Motherboard Monitor whenever my system is on. ie 24/7
I love it, it keeps track of highs and lows for temps and voltages. Also you can set alarms if a sensor hits a certain temp, or a fan drops below a certain speed that will shutdown the system.
