i cant seem to get the computer to recognize my hdd , dvd and re-writer at the same time if i switch around the ide cables on the mother board it only reads the hard drive then when i switch them again it reads the dvd and re-writer no hard drive its a newly home built computer its raid technolagy but im not using it i dont fully understand yet so that might be my problem

first try the bios, check the boot order.my kt7a kept inserting an ls124 (or somthing like yhat)tab down to cd rom for 3rd boot drive(it wont always show up in startup but will later?)go to pnp setup and enable escd mine keeps disabling on its own ,it worked for me.

don't plug anything into the orange colored plugs - they are for your RAID array. set up the hard drive as master on one IDE channel. set up the DVD and writer as master and slave on the second IDE channel. then make sure to tell Bios about it.

well everything works great it was the ide cable that was the problem i changed it and now the computer rocks, thanks for the info every one. ill be posting my clock scores soon so far my benchmark 2000 score is 8012 not bad for only tweaking my memory so far.
