HDD Installation

Does it matter installing a HDD sideways or in the upright position?

Nope, but the general opinion is that is pick one and stick with it, Drives get *Used* to a certain postition

It doesn't matter unless you plan to keep the hard drive running as long as posible.

I've stuck to and belive the PCB should be under when mounting the hard drive.

It doesn't matter which way round they sit. I prefer to have mine sitting horizontally (dont know why) but I have seen many cases with drives mounted vertically as well.

Just make sure the drive isnt moved when its running.
