Nothingness is Everything.
Hey I have a nice 5.1 speaker setup but alot of the time i use my computer at night when i cant be waking poeple up with them, so i use headphones. Mine recently craped the proverbial bed so i need some replacements.

Any suggestions for the 20-50 dollar price range?
I was lookin at the RumbleFX Headphones but that might be more of a gimmick than legit quality. Someone gimme the heads up.

Thanks.

I have a set I like at home, cost me 20-25 bucks. The cord on the things is insanely long. I'll find out who makes it when I get home in the morning. My brother picked up a cheap($20) set of wireless RCA headphones he likes at the Shack... other than that I'll have to get back to you...

oh yeah, the rumble headphones gave me a migrain after 20 minutes of use... have a friend who let me use them for a few days when I was looking for a set of headphones to replace the POS ones I had.

Got some 25ish dollar headphones about a month ago... Sony MDR-CD180. I really like the quality (so sensitive, I can hear the CD drive spinning up... of course, that means insufficent shielding :( ). Got a 9 foot cord on it (I think... never really completely unwrapped the wires), and has 20-20K response.

Also, they are real headphones (you know... your ears slip in them!) so with your music up (or whatever) you can't hear ANYTHING else. Quite nice when trying to drown out your annoying sister without having to blast your eardrums into the next county. :D

i have some koss UR - 20's

really nice, hey jigpu, i too can hear the CD drives and HDD's
on my headphones, i thought i was the only one.

what exactly does that mean and how do ya fix it? thanks :p

I have the Plantronics "Audio 60" headset. Really great sound quality. It is however, still analog. But when it's right up against your ears it probably doesn't really matter all that much.

I got the AOpen HP-590 headphones. They have that rumble thing like the RumbleFX ones. The AOpen ones are awesome, great shound quality lots of little extras included (extension cable 1-2 ft, the bid headphone adapter, 1AA, and the cables and adapters are gold plated). These headphones first gave me a headache after like 10min with alot of bass. Later on I solved that by listening and turning the bass up a little @ a time over about an hour or 2. Now I dont get even the slightest headache after 2+hours of contiunous use! I think you just need to get used to all the bass, and the bass can be turned off like the Rumble FX ones.

I love these headphones.AOpen Link

The REAL kicker for me was that I got them on sale and w/ $10MIR for $10 @ PC Club!!! It cant get anybetter than that. The normal MSRP I see for these are around $20-$30.
