I would like to get my Brother a really nice pair of headphones for Christmas. Any suggestions??

2 great brands of cans are Senheisser and Grado. I use the Senheisser HD-280 pros at work. They have awesome noise isolation, which was an important factor when I was shopping for heaphones because I am easily distracted by office noise.

The Grado SR-60 and SR-80 are awesome headphones for music and are not too costly. I almost bought the SR-125, but in the end the noise isolation of the hd-280 pros won.

A place that I found to be most helpful doing research was this forum dedicated to headphones:

I just ordered myself some Sennheiser PX200's from ecost.com for 34$ (59.99 retail). I've also been researching some good headphones at the link DeathKnight posted as well as at www.headwize.com and from what I gather if your looking for best bang for buck headphones it seems to be a toss up between the Sennheiser px100-200's and the Koss KSC 35's and 55's all of which are less than $50. Ofcourse if your looking to spend more money then look into the Sony MDR V6 (not V600) or pretty much any Sennheiser or Grado pair.

Good luck.
