Heat wave, shutting down so my wife will hug me again.

Yep. That's how summer goes for us. Before Australia de-regulated thier electric, they used to make up a huge point difference in what is their winter. Now, not so much. Most of the teams we compete with are in the northern hemisphere and therefore face the same issue. Nearly every team has a slump in the heat of summer. Our team included.

Stay well, stay healthy and safe and stay cool. ;)

Rent a stump grinder! don't sell them! On the other hand ill give you $250 each for your 4070s :)

A little heat is ok. Its 93 out today and that is unacceptable.

They don't rent Pto stump grinders where my rental places are. The number of rentals needed would be more than the $2400 to own one.

What makes more sense? 3 $800 GPU's or a stump grinder?

Not that I'll get 8 for them but it would be about 3/4 of whats needed. The electricity saved for the summer would be another $400.

Real world items are tempting...🤔😎

Agreed. But you do have some time before anything new comes out. At earliest later 3Q.... keep an eye out on Computex next week. ;)

Just get 6 bags of charcoal and stack them on the stump and burn it out :)

And I do that 50 times? :waiting: :D

The stump grinder I am looking at does it in 10 minutes... And you know with my taking care of my wife time is of the essence.

I have a 100 dead ash trees in my yard. With my 7 neighbors we have a 1000. In the past I have dug them out with my back hoe... But it's a really lengthy affair and at some point I have to use a cutting device to cut the root.

Along with forks and grapple stunk grinders have the highest resale. Folks are always looking for used ones. I'll just resell it when I'm done with it. The PTO stump grinders fit on tractors from 25 horsepower to like 50.

That sounds like fun. Can't you blow it up?

Ash borer killed all the ash trees in Wisconsin too. Took 4 out of my yard last year. The city is littered with dead ash.

You could always leave them and let nature do its thing.

I try to rotate to all new GPU's every 2 years anyway... when the 5000's come out I'll be waiting in line at my MC.

Also not grinding the stumps means I have to mow around them and it's fun running attachments. Also maybe a little side business as charging $100 a stump means I only need to do 24 to make my money back. I already do backhoe work and tree removal locally so this would be one more thing to have fun with.

I'm sweaty...My rig is at my feet in my office and the added heat is doing bad things for my hygene :D Temps are supposed to drop later this week and I'll kick it back on.
Feeling this, especially today and yesterday, oof. Office has been 85-90 so far this week so I've backed off to only running my htpc downstairs with the 2080 super, giving the 3090ti and 1080 a much needed break because I think my roommate would kill me if I didn't. xD

Have been trying to not run the AC yet this year but couldn't even get our rooms cooled off last night below 82-84, so roomie caved and ran it. Gonna be a hot year folks! We're skipping spring and going right to summer!
