I have 19cm to spare from the bottom of my case up to the harddrive and 17.5cm width to spare. I went to my local car demolisher to check, but unfortunately they didn't have a very large collection. Most heater cores were from 20 to 30cm in height, but fell within my requirements for width, the only one that would fit my case heightwise was some Opel cores that would be 19 cm in height if I cut and welded shut the connectors on top and put some on the side. Unfortunately they were also 19cm in width 
Anyone know any heater cores that fall within my requirments? (Car models)
If I can't find any that fits that, I could cut away the bottom 3.5" bay and have 21.5cm to spare, or cut away the 2 bottom ones, put my hd in a 5 1/4 to 3.5" converter and have 24cm to spare.
Mind you I have ordered a Comair Rotron 172x151x51mm 24V 235CFM fan, I guess it will be 117,5CFM when run at 12V, and an unknown 120x38mm 24V fan for exhaust. £11 + £3.50 shipping
