i just stuck half of an old 486 heatsink onto the ICS clock generator chip on my CUSL2-C. i lapped it, polished it, smeared a thin layer of arctic silver on the chip and 2 drops of super glue at the edges, and stuck it on...
guess wot???? my motherboard temp went up from 31º to 34ºC!!!!! how can this be??? any ideas? the heatsink is definitely quite hot to the touch and it does gets some airflow from a 60mm fan i use get rid of air under my CD-RWriter
am i supposed to get a dedicated fan for this heatsink? pls help coz i dun think i'll be able to remove the sink =(
