hello folks..why the diff price for FSBS

can someone tell a newbie why or what the advantages and pricing differences between 200 FSB vs 266 FSB...obviously the 266 is the bigger figure but...? oh yes both having same processer speed.

The 200 FSB processors refer to the 'internal' bus speed of the CPU which is double the FSB ( 2 x 100 ) and like wise the 266 FSB processors are double pumped internally respective to the FSB ( 2 x 133 ). Data travels across the system faster as the FSB speed increases and as such the 266 cpu which requires the higher bus speed will generally be a slightly faster system overall

what's interesting is that, on pricewatch, at least, the 200mhz versions are actually more expensive than the 266mhz ones. i think that the reason is that the 200's are less popular, so therefore they don't make as many.

I'm really sorry. That's an honest sorry. I just thought that zdoof1 was one of those guys that just come here to make dumb questions and try to make us look stupid for doing something diferent like o/c. I'm sorry if i was rude. I didn't meant to. To anyone who cares, here id my public declaration of stupidity. I was a newbie too and all of you in O/C forum were very nice guys and tryed to help me whenever you could.
