keep getting hazey, ghosty lines scaning down or up the screen every now and then...9700pro

i just installed cat 3.4
and properly unistalled the nvidia, i didnt do a frsh install cos its my mates card which he will take home with him 2day my one comes 2morrow...
the problem is that i get these hazey, ghosty lines running down the screen, it matches the colour of the desktop and we can see them if we look hard enough...
anyone know what this can be and how i can get rid of it...
