Help! Battlefield 1942..game runs too fast!

Weird,

I installed the game on a new computer. AthlonXP 1.09GHz, 512MB DDR Ram.

All nice components. The dang game runs so fast the voices are high pitch, etc. How do I slow this down?

The os is XP Pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you patched it yet? I believe the latest patch revision is 1.31
