Hi Guys
I am getting a PIII 750 @ 1ghz in the next few weeks, but am needing some advice on a decent mobo to accompany it. I only have a UDMA 66 mobo so ATA 100 ain't essential, RAID not needed either, just a good stable board for o/c and also burning cd's. The one i might be getting is the Shuttle AV61-is it any good or have u got othe suggestions, cuz they're pretty cheap. By the way its a Socket PIII so am using a slocket with a Flip Chip, so need a compatible mobo. Cheers guys.

I would recomend Abit boards I have the abit VH6 witch has Softmenu II it has FSB settings of 66,75,83,100,103,112,125,133, ext up to 150 there are a couple of setting i missed but you get the gist. also It allows Voltage sttings to be changed (how far is determined by default Voltage) but PIII are not that good for overclocking I would recomend a cely 600 or 566 they can be taken to higher Oc speeds that most anyother processor.

Look at the cpu database on the opening page and see what everyone has had success with. When it was compiled last, I think the Abit BE6/BF6 were determined to be the most successful overclocking boards.
